After receiving the Guild of Sommelier’s certification, it did not take me long to find my way to Napa Valley to further my wine knowledge and see the vineyards I have read so much about.

 Casillero del Diable Carmenere Btl

2012 Casillero del Diablo Carmenere

This wine is a must buy if you enjoy Cabernet Sauvignon.  Casillero del Diablo produces a flawless Carmenere grape varietal wine which resembles that of a Cabernet.  Black currents, dark ripe plums, bitter chocolate and coffee beans meet your noise as the aroma fills the wine glass. The sense of smell is soon accompanied by tastes of black fruits and mild baking spices.  A medium plus body is balanced with mild tannins to lead into a well rounded, smooth finish which leaves tastes buds wanting more.  Serve this with some grilled herb crusted lamb chops and you will have yourself a $150.oo meal right at home.

Most stores carry for $9.99.
